It's the year 2078 and we're joining actor Peter Weller (Robocop) as he leads a rag-tag group of exhausted soldiers, tired of fighting a long war on a far away mining colony when a new, dangerous machine enemy becomes far more deadly than expected! Another swing and a miss from 1995. We're given a war weary future with holograms that cast shadows, anti-radiation cigarettes, rock bugs, and a gratuitous sponge bath scene! This movie is based on the Phillip K. Dick (Blade Runner, Total Recall) short story 'Second Variety' and tells another story of technology gone awry. With a $20 million dollar budget, it flopped hard. Let's see if 1995 was wrong again!
