THE ERNEST FILM CLUB is BACK! Knowwhatimean???

We're teaming up with the OKLAHOMA FILM EXCHANGE at the old Film Room Screening Room! Make sure to follow them for more fun shenanigans!

Now that the ERNEST FILM CLUB is back, and this month we're going to be talking about an absolute Halloween classic!

Ernest P. Worrell (Jim Varney) is working as a garbage collector in a small Missouri town. Despite the warnings of superstitious local Old Lady Hackmore (Eartha Kitt), he accidentally unleashes devious troll Trantor (Jonas Moscartolo), a slimy creature confined under a tree for 200 years.

We'll be screening some classic Ernest commercials and TV episodes before the meeting, so come early and hang with us!

"I'll tell you how we beat this thing, I'll tell you how we beat it. My great, great granddaddy put him in that tree and so can I. Somebody with a runny nose is going to die." - Ernest P. Worrell

**PRESENTED ON ORIGINAL VHS IN GLORIOUS PAN & SCAN**

10-17-25 - VHSANDCHILL OKC Presents VHS GRINDHOUSE - NIGHT HUNTER @ THE OFX ON FILM ROW

When: Friday, October 17th 19th, 7:00pm
Where: THE OFX ON FILM ROW (inside the Paramount Building), 701 W Sheridan Ave, OKC, OK
Price: FREE

2025 is here and VHSANDCHILL OKC is resurrecting one of our classic screening series from days past - VHS GRINDHOUSE is back! Now we're taking the VHS party to the Oklahoma Film Exchange (THE OFX) on Film Row! Years ago we did THE SUMMER OF BLOOD here and it's fitting for VHS GRINDHOUSE to be back with a glorious Don 'The Dragon' Wilson movie!

VHS GRINDHOUSE is a series of classic films that may or may not be the greatest films ever made! This VHS delights are pulled straight from the VHSANDCHILL OKC collection. Movies that DESERVE their day in court for the crimes committed TO them or BY them! These films will scream from the heavens the madness that is their message!

The stakes have never been higher for action star Don "The Dragon" Wilson! Vampire hunter Jack Cutter (Wilson) must fulfill his destiny and destroy the last of the bloodsucking creatures of the night before an unholy disaster strikes.

Continuing our year long series of screening films that were released in the far-flung past year of 1996, NIGHT HUNTER was actually released TWO YEARS before Marvel's BLADE. Featuring daywalkers, blood raves, and vampire board room meetings, this movie is unfairly put up against BLADE. This is obviously the far superior film. If anybody knows anything about me, they know I'm a sucker for DON 'THE DRAGON' WILSON flicks. I can't get enough of them. I didn't even know this movie existed till this year. I'll be watching this masterpiece for the very first time with you all. It's October, spooky season, let's suffer together.

'"I am... the NIGHT HUNTER." - Jack Cutter

In early 2016 it all started with the dream of having an old school TV wall, the kind we all saw in our favorite 80's and 90's flicks. After a few trips to some local thrifts stores, I had more than enough old TVs and VCRs. It was about this time I came into a collection of a few thousand VHS tapes and not long after VHSANDCHILL nights were born. Every month or so we started showings of classic 80's and 90's movies. As these showings became more popular we began doing some theme showings and marathons. We enjoy watching these showings bring in people from every age group and all walks of life. VHS is dead. Long live VHS!
