I'm hosting a brand-new series at OKLAHOMA FILM EXCHANGE - ROBOCOP AT 8PM ON A THURSDAY! Every month at OFX we'll be screening something from the ROBOCOP franchise. We're going to go through the theatrical releases first, but after that we'll be watching some stuff from the 1988 cartoon series or even the 1994 live-action TV show. It's going to be all things ROBOCOP! There might even be a surprise or two!
This month we're revisiting (or visiting for the very first time) the two Robocop live-action television shows. Robocop: The Series that ran 21 episodes in 1994 and Robocop: Prime Directives which was four 90-minute tv movies that aired in 2001. These shows...are not good but are both interesting in their own ways.
The Robocop: The Series episode we'll be watching is 44 minutes and Robocop: Prime Directives is 90 minutes. Both of these will be presented on VHS on THE BIG SCREEN as they were never intended!
Other screenings will be rotated through VHS, Blu-ray, DVD, Laserdisc, and whatever else I can find. Each show we'll have a fun trivia question and small prize giveaway. At each show, once a ticket is purchased, you'll get a ROBOCOP PUNCH CARD! If you come to all 6 screenings, you'll get a chance at winning a super rad ROBOCOP MEGA PRIZE!
Pre-show cartoon starts at 7:30pm. Show starts at 8pm.

In early 2016 it all started with the dream of having an old school TV wall, the kind we all saw in our favorite 80's and 90's flicks. After a few trips to some local thrifts stores, I had more than enough old TVs and VCRs. It was about this time I came into a collection of a few thousand VHS tapes and not long after VHSANDCHILL nights were born. Every month or so we started showings of classic 80's and 90's movies. As these showings became more popular we began doing some theme showings and marathons. We enjoy watching these showings bring in people from every age group and all walks of life. VHS is dead. Long live VHS!
