When: Thursday, February 26th, 10:00pm Where: OKLAHOMA FILM EXCHANGE, 701 W SHERIDAN AVE Price: PAY WHAT YOU CAN! I'm hosting a brand-new series at OKLAHOMA FILM EXCHANGE - ROBOCOP AT 10PM ON A THURSDAY! Every month at OFX we'll be screening something from the ROBOCOP franchise. We're going to go through the theatrical releases first, but after that we'll be watching some stuff from the 1988 cartoon series or even the 1994 live-action TV show. It's going to be all things ROBOCOP! There might even be a surprise or two! While this presentation of the 1990 classic will be screened on 4K, other screenings will be rotated through VHS, Blu-ray, DVD, Laserdisc, and whatever else I can find. Each show we'll have a fun trivia question and small prize giveaway. At each show, once a ticket is purchased, you'll get a ROBOCOP PUNCH CARD! If you come to all 6 screenings, you'll get a chance at winning a super rad ROBOCOP MEGA PRIZE! Pre-show cartoon starts at 9:30pm. Show starts at 10pm. So, upload your PRIME DIRECTIVES, and DEAD OR ALIVE, you're coming with us! Hosted by Sean Peel

When: Wednesday, February 25th, 7:00pm Where: BOOKISH, 1005 NW 36th st, OKC, OK Price: FREE VHSANDCHILL OKC started in my garage in 2016. These shows grew and grew until I was doing them at various bars and venues across Oklahoma City. Over the last 10 years we have gotten into all kinds of fun movie shenanigans. Some say all good things come to an end, and it's time for me to move on to other things. VHSANDCHILL OKC will still be here but just not like it has been. I'll continue to host event screenings at The Oklahoma Film Exchange and I'll probably be popping up with booths and fun things here and there. So I'm not going anywhere, just getting into new shenanigans. For this FAREWELL TOUR 2026, I'll be revisiting some of our favorite venues across town and having fun events! Retro Tape Swaps, big shows, little shows, but these screenings won't be themed or anything, but these will focus on films that are truly dear to my heart. When this 1999 sci-fi comedy-drama film released I remember enjoying it, as I'm a big fan of Robin Williams. Though it was only later in life that this film took on a much deeper meaning for me. A lot of people haven't seen this film and I think it should be shared. So I invite you to come out to BOOKISH, grab a comfy seat, some delicious coffee, and let's enjoy this well meaning adaptation of a story that has become synonymous with the rise in A.I. and what it really means to be human. "One has studied your history. Terrible wars have been fought where millions have died for one idea, freedom. And it seems that something that means so much to so many people would be worth having." - Andrew Martin DOORS OPEN @ 7:00PM, SHOW STARTS @ 7:30PM **PRESENTED ON ORIGINAL VHS IN GLORIOUS PAN & SCAN** Bookish has onsite beverages and treats by Caboose Coffee Bookish is Oklahoma City's only locally owned used bookstore. They're located at 1005 NW 36th St, right off of Western. |
